Sedation dentistry is one that will relax and calm the patients who have pain during the dental procedures. It is useful for people having fear of visiting the dentist. In this dentistry, dentists use some medication on patients during surgeries to make them relax and comfortable because the surgery involves a lot of things to be done by the dentist which may result in a lot of pain to the patients.
Because of fear or anxiety so many patients do not want to visit the dentist despite having dental problems. This may result in severe dental problems which can be very expensive and painful later to treat.
Dentists will calm the patients during surgeries by giving a kind of drugs called sedatives that are used to make unconscious the concerned parts of the body which are required during the surgery so that the dentist can perform the surgery with in a single sitting and in a relaxed way.
Thus, we can say that sedation dentistry can be useful for the patients who feel or suffer pain and nervousness while visiting dentist or during dental procedure.
