What is it that teens need to learn to be a safe driver?

My son had got the age of 16 years and showed interest on driving. So I followed some general rules on teen driver training which would help him to be a successful driver. And we hired a driving instructor. What the teens and their driver’s education professional will need to emphasize during their process of learning to drive? Students or candidates must and should complete six hours of practice with a trained instructor on actual roads and attain learners permit and it must be for nine months to become a successful teen driver. The instructor followed certain aspects as he is teaching to a new driver. Firstly, he checked the condition of vehicle: the mirrors, seat belts, tire and inspection, brakes, fuel, Dashboard warning lights etc., Then the instructor showed the teen about how the vehicle works, how to start and stop etc, later on he showed the teen about how to control the car, safe turns, shifting gears, signaling to the other drivers avoiding distractions and then parking the vehicle. Lastly, prohibit your child in using cell phone, eating, drinking and other distractions while driving. And should keep clean driving record. All these can be helpful and make even your teen to drive the vehicle safely.
