Best Tips to Follow After a Car Crash

Nowadays knowingly or unknowingly people get entangled in car crashes due to reasons like drunken driving, slipperiness or someone hits us even if we are driving slowly and responsibly, fast driving etc. Suppose you hits someone on the road or involved in the accident you are definitely upset, shock, afraid or frightened, anxious, and perhaps you are unsure what you should do first. Most of them will either sit calm in their cars or they will run for their lives after the car crash.

Following are the simple tips on what to do after a car crash:
Fuel pump
  • - The first thing you need to do is take a few deep breaths or count 1 to 10 to make your mind calm. Until you are calmer, you will not be prepared to handle the situation. So, make your mind calmer for handling the situation better. Then analyze whether the accident is severe or not.
  • - If the condition is serious (any people are injured), call the police or seek the help of the people nearby your car.
  • - If you are unable to get down from the car, wait for someone help to arrive.
  • - Suppose if no one is in danger with your vehicle, move your vehicle to one side of the road to ensure everyone is safe.
  • - Keep some stones or some flags, turn on hazard lights, or keep emergency flares on the site of the crash. Keeping these things at the scene will prevent traffic congestion.
  • - Then call the police and never ever get emotional with other parties. If police did not come to the spot or site, file a report with your local police.
  • - Give information to the police including your name, address, driver license number, car license plates, photos of the location, involved vehicles and damages, insurance carriers and policy numbers.
  • - Immediately call your insurance company. This can help you in filing a claim when you are away from your home.
  • - Then get your car repaired.
The above will help you to avoid the fear and stressful situations.

Causes of Engine Overheating

Engine gets overheated while you are on trip especially in summer season. You may get into trouble with overheating of the engine. If the engine gets hot means that there is a problem. There are many common reasons of the overheating of the engine, such as:
  • The main reason of the overheating is reducing the ability of the cooling system to absorb, transport and disappear the heat. A defective thermostat, poor air flow, a collapsed lower radiator hose, defective radiator cap can cause a low coolant level, a coolant leak, poor heat conductivity inside the engine.
  • If there is any leak in the cooling system of the vehicle then it may lead to overheating. There will not be enough coolant to keep the engine cool if the vehicle loose the coolant. You can find out easily by seeing the pool coolant on the floor. You can check the leaks in the most common places like around hoses and around the welds of the radiator.
  • Faulty water pump can cause the overheating. This water pump is important part in the cooling system, coolant can be circulated by this through the engine.
  • A bad cooling fan can cause overheating of the engine. Generally, all the time mechanical fan runs, it has clutch, if engine gets hot then the fan will run faster. If there is any leakage from fan clutch, then it is the sign of a problem.
These are the common reasons of the vehicle overheating. But, a great damage of vehicle can be caused by overheating of the engine. You can meet the mechanic if you face any problem with the vehicle.

Know About Different Types of Green Cars

The cars which use alternative energy sources for reducing the pollution is generally termed as Green car.

Here, alternative energy sources are used for the complete fuel or in some cases it is used as a partial fuel for running the vehicles. One can define the alternative energy as the fuel which does not use the gasoline products for powering the engines. Some of the alternative sources which are used in green cars are the electricity, alcohol, hydrogen, liquids made from coal and natural gas and also bio-diesel. The emission of green house effect gases will be reduced using the alternative fuels. Hence, the global warming and the ozone depletion will get reduced.

Let us see some of the types of green cars:
  • Hybrid car: Here along the electric engines, a gas motor is also used for powering the vehicle to run. The electric motors will recharge on their own while their are running. The hybrid cars are similar in the features with the traditional car. Compared to the traditional cars the pollution will be less.
  • Electric Car: Here, the motor used will be the electric motor. The electricity which comes from the batteries will be used for running the vehicle. As electricity is used there is no chance of pollution. These are cheaper because no moving parts are used for the electric cars.
  • Bio-diesel Car: Here bio-diesel which is made from the vegetables or animal fats will be used instead of gasoline. These emissions are also less.
  • Hydrogen Fuel Car: Hydrogen gas releases less emissions. This hydrogen is produced in abundant quantities. The chemical energy which is present in Hydrogen will be converted into mechanical energy for running the motor.
  • Fuel cell Cars: 70-80% of the green house emissions are reduced using this fuel cell cars. Here in these types of cars, the chemical energy present in hydrogen and the oxygen are converted by the battery into electricity energies and this electricity is used for running the vehicle.
Thus the above cars will reduce the pollution and also help in providing an environment which is friendly.

Compressed Air Car Coming With 2010 Breeze

The Motor Development International (MDI) is a French based company planning to produce the world's first air-powered automobile for the U.S by 2010.

The compressed air car contains compressed-air engine technology. The compressed air engine contains high pressured air tanks with a specially adapted piston engine. The air car can go up to 70mph/120kmph. The one of the compressed air car model is “MiniCATS”. It is a three seater model. In addition, CitiCATS is another model of compressed air car and it is a six seater car.

The compressed air technologies are single energy compressed engine and dual energy compressed engine. The single energy compressed engine used in both MiniCATS and CitiCATS. The engine of the car will fill with compressed car and the engine tank will be made with carbon-fiber. The carbon-fiber reduces the car weight.

The new technologies, which are used in compressed air car, are a Pneumatic Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV). The PHEV will work along with electric motor to create power source. But the compressed air cars are limited to city use only.
